Opportunity for young artists in the Gig Harbor/Key Peninsula and South Kitsap areas. The Peninsula Arts League is sponsoring it's annual Poster Contest for the Gig Harbor Summer Arts Festival. This is the first year the contest is open to all High School Students of this geographical area to include Home School Students and Private School Students.

Gig Harbor Summer Art Festival Poster Contest Sponsored by Peninsula Art League The Peninsula Art League (PAL) is sponsoring the annual Gig Harbor Art Festival Poster Contest. It is open to area high school students. The overall winning design will be used to promote the Gig Harbor Art Festival in numerous ways, including, but not limited to: newspaper advertisements and articles, T shirts, posters, and post cards. The winning original artwork will be returned to the artist (once it has been scanned at printers) with the agreement that it will not be subsequently used for any commercial purpose in association with any PAL references (name, logo, activity, etc.). Student entrants under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian signature on their entry form to qualify. ENTRY RULES Deadline: For Students: April 2, 2012 (all posters images can be emailed to carlene.salazar@gmail.com or on request, will be picked up from teachers by PAL member on or before the 3rd week of April for pre-screening by Board of Trustees) Email images should be set at 72psi. Originality: All work must be original and executed by artist. Format: color or black and white 11”x17” Vertical Design any media (except graphite) Student awards: 1st Place- $100 Teacher of 1st place winner also wins $100 2nd Place- $50 3rd Place- $25 Notification: Winners will be notified following the PAL April Meeting (4th Tuesday of the month) The original designs will be returned as soon as possible afterwards.
